Cocaine 80s – Express OG EP

Having recently been blessed with the track “Motivation” featuring Chicago emcee Common, Cocaine 80s proudly presents its EP, Express OG, for download. Comprised of producer extraordinaire No I.D and singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy II (previously from The Underdogs), the six-track effort is a solid mixture of R&B and hip-hop with key contributions from the likes of the aforementioned Common, as well as Nas. The Express OG EP can be downloaded in its entirety here.

JOHN MAYER - SHADOW DAYS

After a long time gone from the music scene, because of a granuloma near his vocal chords, he is finally back with a new track. It bears the fitting title of Shadow Days.
It’s safe to say that his still has it.

The Next Chapter
When I think about how I started this blog I sometimes laugh at myself and think back when all I had up here was pictures of fashion and genuinely anything that used to inspire me in one way or another. I always wanted people to feed off of each other’s energy. According to T - my good friend and business partner - I started becoming really good at telling many different stories with pictures. I never quite believed that there was a real audience that cared about what I was posting up nor did I ever think that our blog would become a homepage on anyone’s laptop - until more and more people started to email me asking me to feature their work or latest collections on AKWL.
I started to receive feedback on how the work that I featured on the blog had started to inspire people. At this point I had started putting more text in the posts and would add opinions and write-ups for further emphasis on what I’d post. My business partner T was always afraid of me doing write-ups and I could tell - He was afraid that if I opened my mouth the whole world would tell me to shut up! Well, I decided to open my mouth anyway being the rebel that I am, and here we are about to fully start branding AKWL. The team that I have behind me stretches from the UK to Canada – all of us from different backgrounds that range from Russia to Japan to Zimbabwe to anywhere you can think of.

It is our aim to use AKWL as a platform to show case all types of artists from different backgrouds to inspire you our readers and our generation but most of all to have a positive effect in as many cultural circles as we can. We have set a high standard so you may not see the same people featured over and over again if we believe that their work is not up to their usual standards.
We will now be having a weekly review every Sunday, that is something to look forward to and we will be launching Kings Watch soon. Kings Watch will serve as AKWL TV and so much more look forward to great interviews from people we feature on here and great events.

I am truly grateful that I have a platform were we can share more with the general public. We can showcase more talent than I ever imagined from all over the world and every one of you will be in the front row. I truly believe each one of you will feel a connection with at least one member of the team I’ve put together. This is a lifestyle, I don’t know how I’ve got here or who I will become as the years roll on and as my 21st birthday draws closer I know that everyday I will try to inspire people to live A Kings Way of Life.
